Welcome to The Dowling House, a historic 1886 home built by the Dowling family who are known as renowned bourbon distillers from Lawrenceburg, KY. Our story is rooted in the legacy of Mary Dowling, known as the Mother of Bourbon, whose pioneering spirit continues to inspire everything we do.
Today, The Dowling House blends timeless charm with modern elegance, offering a warm and memorable space for gatherings of all kinds- from bridal and baby showers to corporate events and celebrations. Every detail of our venue honors the home’s rich heritage while providing a welcoming atmosphere where guests can relax, connect, and make lasting memories.
Soon, we’ll open our doors even wider as a one-of-a-kind Airbnb, inviting visitors to stay and experience a piece of Kentucky bourbon history for themselves.

What a great event space. Spacious, great kitchen for food prep. Several areas for guests to relax. Ease of access to entrances is great as our family is getting older. That’s so important. The owners were so accommodating to work with. If you are looking for a great space in central Ky for your next event - you need to check this out.
